In the NMK building, there is a wide range of meeting and conference facilities of various sizes.
How to arrange a meeting with us?
We have facilities that are well suited for everything from small meetings to large conferences over several days. There is modern technical equipment in all rooms.
We are happy to help you create a good framework around your event.
As a meeting/conference client, you will have a contact person with us who is responsible for your booking and follow-up of the event.
If you book a meeting with us, we handle the practical details. We will set up the room according to your wishes and manage the catering. You can focus on the content of the program.
Most of our facilities can be configured according to your wishes.
In connection with several of the meeting rooms, there is a Break-out area that can be used during breaks for either mingling or a small aperitif.
All our meeting rooms are equipped with AV equipment
The NMK building is operated according to strict safety requirements. We therefore recommend pre-registration of participants so that check-in can be done quickly and efficiently.

Equipment and availability
Technical equipment:
In our meeting rooms, you will find the equipment you need; motorized screens with projector or display, sound systems, and wireless or handheld microphones. We also offer a podium, flipchart, whiteboard, and video conferencing equipment. HDMI/USB-C cables for connection and of course power outlets.
All guests have access to wireless internet.
Accessibility:
NMK is centrally located on the Ålesund Campus, one of the transport hubs between Moa and Ålesund city center. There are frequent bus departures in both directions.
If you come by car, we have our own guest parking both outdoors and indoors.
For cyclists, there are good facilities for bicycle parking.
Meeting food and drinks - provided by our own "in house" kitchen
We strongly believe that food has a significant impact on well-being, even during meetings, which is why we can offer tasty and energizing meals that allow you to perform your best at the gatherings.
We serve everything from fruit platters, delicious pastries, and sandwiches to three-course dinners.
In our cafeteria restaurant, a warm lunch is served daily, along with a salad bar. As meeting organizers, you can choose to have lunch here or have a separate menu in your own area.
Coffee/water stations are available in connection with most of our meeting rooms.
If there are any special preferences, intolerances, or allergies, we will of course find alternatives.
We can also provide catering outside of NMK.

Atrial
Our large living room has a capacity of up to 500 people.
The atrium serves daily as a canteen restaurant, but can also be used for conferences, exhibitions, and fairs.
The area has a six-story high glass wall facing south, with a fantastic view of Nørvasundet and the Sunnmøre Museum. This is an open and airy space that can be transformed into a large conference hall or a stunning dining venue.
Configuration: The area can be configured in many different ways, depending on what you are organizing.
Technical equipment: There is a sound system and projector, with the possibility of streaming to other meeting rooms in the NMK building.
The Auditorium - Møretanken
Skyveamfi with a capacity of 151 people.
Gatherings in the auditorium provide good contact between the meeting leader/speaker and the audience - even those sitting farthest back.
The auditorium has great mingling areas directly connected, where food and drinks can be served during breaks - and where participants can mingle and talk together.
Technical equipment:
Surround sound system, projector, and a large screen.
There are both handheld microphones and wireless lapel microphones.
Power outlets under the front row of seats.
Possibility to stream to other rooms in the NMK building if desired.
General information:
There is a door directly into the auditorium with a loading ramp outside.
The ceiling has reinforcements that allow for hanging things from it during performances.
Meeting room Marco Polo
A larger meeting room with large windows and good daylight.
Capacity: 60 people
Configuration: Classroom, Cinema, Boardroom
Location: 2nd floor, right by the reception
Technical equipment: Fully equipped for digital meetings, Projector and screen, HDMI with multi-adapter, Sound system, Flipchart with markers.
The meeting room can be divided by a partition wall and function as two separate meeting rooms.
Good shading of daylight if necessary.
Possibility for streaming with sound and image from Møretanken
Columbus meeting room
A smaller meeting room with large windows and good natural light.
Capacity: 8 people
Configuration: Boardroom
Location: 2nd floor, right by the reception
Technical equipment: Projector and screen, HDMI with multi-adapter, Sound system, Wi-Fi
Good shading of natural light if desired.
The room is adjacent to Marco Polo, with a soundproof door between the rooms.
Meeting room Roald Amundsen
A larger meeting room with a window facing the Atrium, the window can be blinded.
Capacity: 24 people
Configuration: Classroom, Cinema, Boardroom
Location: 5th floor building B
Technical equipment: Projector and screen, HDMI multi-adapter, Flipchart with markers
The room can be divided and used as two separate meeting rooms
New meeting rooms in planning
Today we are starting a major renovation at NMK, and in this connection, we are planning a brand new meeting room department right by the reception.
There will be both small meeting rooms for 6-10 people, as well as larger meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 80 people.
All rooms will be equipped with technical equipment to provide a good meeting experience.
Configuration of the rooms will vary.
